Principle

BA 1500f is a three-axis cutting center with flying optics designed for contour cutting. The table with the details is fixed. The laser beam is directed through the fiber to the focusing head, which moves horizontally along the axis (X axis). - The focusing head moves vertically on the platform, along the Z axis.
- The portal moves horizontally and perpendicularly, along the Y axis.
- All movements on 3 axes are controlled by the CNC system.
This design has several advantages:
• Good front accessibility.
• The mass of moving parts (cutting portal and cutting head) is constant. This means that the accuracy of the machine is not affected by the weight of the product material.
• High speed and accuracy. Using the table change system, tables can be loaded and unloaded during laser cutting, resulting in significantly higher productivity.

Bed

The BA 1500f bed consists of thermostabilized welded pipes and plates. It is heavy and durable, which provides good positioning accuracy. The standard color for all machine parts is white RAL 9003 and gray RAL 7016.

 

Laser source

The BA 1500 f will be equipped with a 3 kW Rofin-Sinar FL040c laser.
This type of laser has the following features:

- No optics - High-power solid-state lasers are the result of the merger of two of the most innovative and advanced technologies in the laser world - active optical fibers and semiconductor diodes. Active fibers transmit extremely bright light from a very small cone, which makes it possible to obtain class kW power with excellent beam quality. The use of extremely bright semiconductor single emitter diodes for pumping these fibers allows ROFIN-SINAR to significantly increase the life of the system compared to systems with tube or diode-linear / stack pumping. The combination of both technologies leads to the creation of a unique, highly reliable and extremely efficient laser system with parameters that exceed any traditional technologies, including YAG and CO2 disk or rod lasers.
The cutting edge can be much coarser (the CO2 laser has a brighter cut), thicker materials have a lighter burr, especially when N2 is used as auxiliary gas.

Axle drives

All axes are rotated and driven by Siemens digital AC servos.
The drive motors are installed so that when changing the direction of movement along the axis, the mechanical clearance is minimized.
The electrical energy supplied to the motors is controlled by variable speed transistor devices (PWM).
The position along the axis is controlled in a closed loop through a numerical control system connected to a linear optical measuring system and has a resolution of 0.5 microns.
All measuring sensors are absolute. There is no need for a reference (reference) procedure after loading the system.

Beam Transmission and Cutting Head

The emitted laser beam is contained in the optical fibers and is fed through a reinforced flexible cable. This beam transmission method does not require mirrors or optics for alignment and adjustment. This facilitates the integration and tuning of the laser in production. At the end of the fiber there is a processing head (= cutting head). The assembly of the cutting head is a completely non-contact assembly, with capacitive height measurement, precise focusing to maintain optimal control of the optical focus. The unit supports the function of protection against the limit of travel, the scheme of the center of movement and protection against collision at the cutting point. Working as an independent control system with feedback, the unit consists of the following units: 1) Precitec Pro Cutter (optionally Pro Cutter Man & Pro Cutter zoom 3, 2)
2) Programmable auxiliary gas proportional high pressure valve (25 bar) The laser auxiliary gas system directs the flow of the corresponding gas (oxygen, nitrogen, etc.) to the workpiece through a coaxial gas stream in the processing head. A CNC proportional gas valve is installed inside the device to control the pressure. To meet high pressure requirements, such as for clean cutting of stainless steel, suitable high pressure feed lines are included in the system.

Cutting table

The cutting table can be delivered in various forms. As a standard, we supply tables with steel blades that support the sheet. Brass and stainless blades are available on request. The pitch of the blades is 50 mm.
To support very thin material, you can put a cell table. This additional option can be provided upon request.
